It's always worth watching a race that gets down to the 3/4s in 1:19!

That's all for now -- more to come...

And TC, I've got those 1993 battles with Bilateral, Bret's Avenger, and Staying Together -- just have to find them Wink

A sad, sad childhood where I taped a bunch of the Chicago Racing Report.

NO other comments?  I may have wasted my time, haha!

No waste of time -that's how you got to be so knowledgeable at 22, and some older folk I bet are drooling at hearing Elanor Flavin's voice again - LOL.  Very nice - but W-I-L-D.  One story would never make the forum w/o immediate deletion. LOL  TC

Maybe we'll have to pull some Eleanor off the tapes -- haha.

Boy either your full of shit or my math is wrong?
If your 22, that means you were 5 years old in 1988 taping harness races, correct?
I think not. Now being told by who your were friends with explains where you really got them from. None other than a former announcer who was stealing tapes from the archives and making copies.   Shocked    BUSTED !! LOL- Maybe thats why he got canned?

They used to show flashbacks on the Chicago Racing Report.

I started taping in 1993, at the age of 10.

Good try on the detective work.  I wish that did happen -- I would have all sorts of neat tapes then!

I was actually on that show as a guest handicapper.
I beat out Mike Paradise with my selections. (not saying much)
My main dig with him was that he never seemed to pick our stable's horses. Even when they figured.
Elanor on the other hand, picked us too often.

Well, I'm assuming you were there.  Give us your take on it.  And to think it all started with the Johnstons making light of Pat Flavin.  People in glass houses, Uncle Billy W-H-J, shouldn't throw empty whiskey bottles IMO - LOL.  I wish Elanor would have been allowed to continue her scrum, my cash wold have been on her.  TC

I would have bet on her as well.
As high strung as she was, she did her damndest to get people out to the track.
I still think she's unattached.

One day at the annual BTW forum picnic in Janine's back yard (LOL), I've got a great Elanor story. I do love how she stood up to the "people who started on 2nd base and thought they hit a double" Johnstons in defense of her dad.  Plus, she always had a great twinkle in her eyes; that and "ring-a-ding" ankles are a home run in any man's league.  TC

OKAY:

Looking for any and all videos that y'all have, as I would like to get a pretty large collection available for those on the board.  If you have any good tapes, or know who I should talk to, let me know.

You can e-mail or PM me if you don't want to talk about it on the board.
