Mikey is down in the winner's circle looking sharp!  Almost wishing I would've headed out...it's the big time at Maywood tonight!

I still may lower myself and slide over in a few minutes, just to see if Sears catches any "railbird abuse" about his evil ways - LOL.  I'm changing into my hip-hop duds and loading up the gold chains around my neck as we speak.  emp, call your bodyguards and have them meet me in the private lot.  TC

For these "lineup" contests, they may wish to buy bigger shirts -- seems like the common track attendee can't fit into a large! Shocked

Normally not a big fan of the crowded nights at the biggest little track in Chicago, but there's always the bonus of a little Gene's and Jude's afterwards!

Whoops -- they hit the "hoofbeats" audio a little soon in the first Cinderella...the gate was "pulling away" at the eighth pole.

Sharp drive too!  Thought he had a chance to get there, but Andy's STEED was strong.

On a side note, it's just not a "big night" with Mazzone in the booth.  Ken -- PLEASE bring someone in!!

Everybody in Illinois must live in a cave. It seems like every time I pick-up a Woodbine program there racing for big money in EVERY RACE not just a couple of races like here. Chicago is sooooooo lost it has to have $6,000 claimer racing for $4,300 the race before a $275,000 race. And a $4,000 claimer on the same night ??This REALLY makes me wanna puke. Soon a $6,000 claimer will make people like EW run to the races. The Galt really makes me sick, 3-year-old trotters on a half mile track--YEA-YEA-YEA- plus 11 horses on a half YEA-YEA-YEA. At least 6-horses OFF-STRIDE-- YEA--YEA---YEA-. I cant wait to look at the result charts. XXXXX-IMXXXXXXIMXXXXXXXXX Mark my words it will be UGLY.

Superman,

Woodbine has the racino help, and until we have some sort of subsidy -- we'll never see purses like that.

The Galt turned out to be a fine race, especially if you had the wherewithall to toss the fav starting from the bad post.  Maybe it will serve to prove a point -- if they can put 11 3yo trotters on the track, there's no reason to not put up ONE 10 horse field a night to get some big pools!

Help is not coming to Illinois any time soon. TM will be making the smartest move in his life on Monday. Jan. 1, 2006 the PIED-PIPER will be playing his tune out of Balmoral-Maywood and all will follow. Undecided

EW :
No owner wants to pay into a stakes race and have his horse draw into the second tier. We want our horse's nose on the gate.

There is a fair amount of lobbying going on in the industry to get stakes race "owners" to change their conditions and prohibit trailers.

It's all a part of the draw, IMO.  However, the owners should know that they are getting into a field where they may be a trailer.  You're better off starting as trailer 1, rather than 8 on the gate.

But, in the overnights, I think it should be used.  If they can put 11 trotters on the half, I'm sure 10 veteran pacers would be fine.

I noticed that the BEST DRIVER EVER to grace the Chicago racing seen did not have a drive in the Windy City. That's horrible as far as I'm concerned.

How quick they forget how great Dave Magee really is.

Come on Mr. Ratwood, you know damn well Ronnie could have won all those races on the bullring himself.

Speed and the half. Take the horse to the top and then be a passenger. Miller did nothing Ronnie couldn't have done. You people amaze me how dumb you are when it comes to knowing the game.

I hope Ronnie never drives another horse for those people. They jacked him over.

I should hope so he's 20 years younger. When Ronnie was his age he was winning like there was no tomorrow.

Don't compare the two when they are ages apart. You people amaze me that you don't know anything about the game.

I got news for you pal, Campbell is washed up also because of his age. Do you think Miller could ever be better then what John was?

" LEARN THE GAME LADDIE " or shut the hell up.
