Hey Freelegged - Rummaging through some old USTA Yearbooks today, late 50's, remember any of the drivers at Saratoga & Vernon Downs :

absolutely.

Gerry Roider had a stable for Abraham Schultz of FL.

Don Bromley a pretty good trottin man in his day. I think he had a horse named Seer.

Billy Current...good horseman. I believe he lost an eye when a battery from a golf cart
exploded.

Freddy LaRouech...remember him...green and gold I think.

Jack Bailey...One of Vernon's all time best. His son Billy drives now.

Bob McNulty. orange and black...old timer.

Angus Allen...son Brian is pretty good at Saratoga.

And how about our DE resident - Del Richards ? Still has horses down here, many in wife's name, trainer listed as Real Gregoire.

yes there was a time in the mid 70s where Del Richards was a top guy at Vernon.
