Hey there 'Off Stride,' it appears you've made a lot of Michigan and Ohio stops including many Fairs.   That's great....many on your list also appear on mine....anyway my question is "Did you have a good time - did you make some money?"   I hope you did!   Rather nice to see the Fairs in Ohio taking wagers on the races isn't it?   You see a lot of families laying down a couple of bucks and cheering for their favorite horse.   Its a fun atmosphere and gets people involved and hopefully encourages them to visit one of the regular raceways.   Should you make any similar rounds in 06' why not consider the Ottawa County Fair in Holland, Michigan?   Come on Wolverine Futurity Night for a big night of racing.   Unfortunately, there is no wagering.   Even is it was legal in Michigan, it'd never happen in Holland.   Too many "holier than thou" types to keep it away, if you know what I mean.

DALE..THERE WASNT A NITE THAT I DIDNT HAVE A GOOD TIME...TO BE ABLE TO HAVE  A..'PORK-O-LEAN SAMICH'  IN ONE HAND AND A COUNTY FAIR PROGRAM IN THE OTHER IS ONE OF LIFES GREATER PLEASURES... TOO BAD THAT ALL STATES DONT HAVE THE FAIR CIRCUIT THAT OH/MICH HAS...IT IS A BLAST...THE RACES THAT I MISS THE MOST WERE THE FUTURITIES THAT USED TO BE HELD IN ADRIAN IN AUGUST...THEN FOLLOWED BY THE SALE OF MICH YEARLINGS... OH THE DO-NUTS IN WAUSEON..THE MUSIC BY ORVILLE HUDLEBRINK(SP)...GOD REST HIS SOUL...THE FEELING WHEN YOU CAN TALK TO THE HORSEMAN 1 ON1..FACE TO FACE..CANT BE BEAT AT ANY RACETRACK..SO WHAT IF THE HANDLE IS ONLY 10 GRAND OR SO..I AINT GREEDY...DAMN..I CANT WAIT FOR OTTAWA..NEXT JULY...GOING TO MAKE THE CLEVELAND CIRCUIT OF FAIRS  NEXT YEAR MY FOCUS...HOPE TO RUN INTO YA...

My long list:

Ghettowood, once.

Arlington OTB and track.

that is it.

I used to drive to SPK thirty times a year and Haw every Saturday in the Winter, along with Ghettowood and Monkeymoral.  The last time I was at Bal I hit a super for $6900 and have never been back.  Nelson Willis and Dan Knox.  Harness Racing in Illinois is dead, Laddies.  I'm still down six figures for my life though..........
