DANNY ,       I just want to know why you turned your horses the 2nd trip .  and why they dont do it anymore . are the horses to fragile today . give me your opinion on what you think should most horses turn or just go backwards . are these trainers smarter today ? or is it just training methods have changed for the better or worse ?   RTP

JMHO---   I think todays trainers dont turn horses because of the ramifications of lactic acid. Years ago we didnt worry about lactic acid, OCD's, EPM. These are all relatively "NEW".Worrying about wasting the pre-race is the concern now.

That was not the question. Reread it.  That was just my opinion, not taking a stance.

The trainer i helped this year turned them 2 times somestimes. I guess he is an oldtimer though so that would make sense. We did it more based on the weather than anything else i think.

my bad LVd - i'll be the first to admit when i'm wrong...buuuuuuut i did re-read it and (don't know what your background is but) it just irks me when people say that cause i know when my horse is warming up - its all based on the horse and not some chemical enhancer
