Favorite track announcers

The FUNNIEST track announcer was at the old SPK harness in the 70's and 80's.  I can't recall his name.  He had one line that always busted us up.  Darryl Busse would be on the lead, but losing pace rapidly.  The announcer would say "Mr. Busse, you're getting awfully heavy out there, be careful!"

Gil Levine.  Great, great announcer.

I think that Gil Levine is calling t-breds in Indiana currently.  He was funny.

Does any one remember Marshal Cassidy? He wasn't my favorite announcer, but I always remember him when the Horses would break out of the gate he would have that delayed call.

Wow, I though that most of you whould have Denman and Durkin at the top. I love Durkin.

When Becker was calling in Chicago, I felt that he was horrific, but his calls at Keeneland are very professional and dignified.  Sometimes, when you have money on the line, hearing "he mails a postcard back to the field" can be annoying.
