Dec 24th is just another regular day. They won't move anything unless the horsemen complain.

Item #1 on the upcoming IRB meeting agenda:

"Request submitted by HAWTHORNE RACE COURSE, INC. for approval to vacate live racing on Saturday, December 24, 2005."

Hawthorne will not race the 24th. Does this mean there will be no simulcast also?

The post-meeting notes at the IRB site say they vacated "live racing" the 24th, this year and next.

No specific word about simulcast. I'd assume they'll keep that, as they're the host track.

I think they will as this is a Saturday and other tracks are running.  I believe they did the same thing last year.

Very few tracks are runnning on Christmas Eve Day, and there are no simulcasts that evening:
