The Stewards in Chicago need to start cracking down on Horseman who juice their Horses, such as Darcy Pletcher, Joe Anderson, John Saner, Eric Plowman and so on. It would make racing in Chicago a little bearable for all the smaller stables to make money, And as far as Ken Rucker, He'll just change trainers and go on like nothings happened.
PACETOWN
If you want change this is what you must hope for. When Rucker has his appeal hearing at the IRB you have to hope that they will feel tired of getting spit at in their face by this guy and a few others like Joe (the knife) and hope that they set an example to ALL trainers that they are sick and tired of all these positives from all the different drugs that these cheaters are using. You must hope like hell that the IRB adds alot more additional time to the 6 months the stewards handed down to Rucker. The IRB board members can levy their own suspension on Rucker at his hearing and give him 6 years instead of 6 months if they feel he is an excessive abuser of the IRB medication rules because of all the positives he keeps getting for different types of drugs. If the IRB board members grow some balls and set this cheater down for a long time that will send a message to all other horseman to " STOP CHEATING ALREADY " or pay the price. This will then give the little stables such as yourself a chance to show a profit and make a living.
One other thing you can do if you are tired of the cheaters is to write a strong letter to the IRB about Rucker and the other trainers you feel are cheating you out of purse money and ask them to take action against Rucker at his hearing. Also, ask some of your fellow horseman who feel the same as you do to also write a letter to the IRB.
