ENTER FREE $5,000 HANDICAPPING CONTEST AT SPORTSMANíS PARK

The simulcast horseracing season at Sportsmanís Park broke from the starting gate on Wednesday, January 2, and will continue day and night, 7-days-a-week, through Kentucky Derby Day Saturday, May 4. The live Thoroughbred season at Sportsmanís commences on March 1.

Among the highlights of the simulcast season, during which customers watch and wager on top horse racing action from around the country in Las Vegas style sports book comfort, will be not one but TWO free handicapping contests worth an aggregate $10,000 in prize money.

The first handicapping contest is being held this month. The top 25 qualifiers from the first preliminary round on Sunday, January 13, will join the top 25 qualifiers from the second qualifying round on Sunday, January 20, for the big $5,000 Championship Final set for Sunday, January 27.

Contest entry forms will be available free of charge on site at Sportsmanís Park on the qualifying Sundays. Participants will be asked to pick one horse in each race from the selected track and deposit the entry form in the special receptacles. The top qualifiers will be the contestants whose selections return the most money based on theoretical $2.00 across the board wagers ($2.00 to Win, $2.00 to Place, and $2.00 to Show) on each selection

The top 50 qualifiers will compete for a $3,000 first prize. Second place is worth $1,000. There will be 10 third place winners of $100 each. In addition, each of the 50 qualifiers will receive 500 On-Track Rewards Playerís Club bonus points. For information about On-Track Rewards log on to www.sportsmanspark.com or www.winnersclub.com.

Another $5,000 handicapping contest will be held in February at Sportsmanís Park.
