ENHANCED BREEDERS’ CUP MICROSITE NOW ONLINE The National Thoroughbred Racing Association (NTRA) announced today the launch of the new breederscup.com, a multi-media Web site with a wide assortment of content designed to both introduce new fans to the Breeders’ Cup World Thoroughbred Championships and enrich existing racing fans with information and features available nowhere else. The microsite is accessible at www.ntra.com and breederscup.com. The redesigned site, created by NTRA Productions, contains sections that preview this year’s running of the Breeders’ Cup at Santa Anita, and others that provide a retrospective of the event’s 20-year history. Elements of the site include:
“We wanted to create a world-class online experience befitting an event of the Breeders’ Cup’s magnitude,” said Keith Chamblin, the NTRA’s senior vice president—marketing & industry relations. “The result is a site that will engage, inform and entertain the broad spectrum of our fan base and help grow that base further.” The NTRA is a broad-based coalition of horseracing interests, including the American Quarter Horse Association, charged with increasing popularity of horseracing and improving economic conditions for industry participants. The NTRA and Breeders’ Cup Limited also administer the Breeders’ Cup World Thoroughbred Championships, Thoroughbred racing’s year-end Championships consisting of eight races and $14 million in purses and awards and the Breeders’ Cup Stakes Program. The NTRA has offices in Lexington, Ky., and New York City. NTRA press releases appear on the NTRA Web site, www.ntra.com, and at the Web site for the Breeders’ Cup World Thoroughbred Championships, breederscup.com. -30- |
