NTRA TO HOLD MARKETING SUMMIT, MARCH 11-13 IN LAS VEGAS
The National Thoroughbred Racing Association (NTRA) will kick off its third annual Marketing Summit on Sunday, March 11 at The Mirage Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. The three-day conference features presentations on advertising, marketing, promotions, public relations and new media. Representatives from some 75 tracks, racing organizations and other companies are expected to attend.
In addition to presentations from a number of industry marketing executives, the Summit also features presentations from outside marketing professionals, workshops, round table discussions on targeting younger demographics and new media trends and an address from NTRA Commissioner Tim Smith. The Summit's keynote speech will be delivered on March 13 by Lawrence D. Krueger, vice president of marketing for SportsLine.com.

The NTRA is a broad-based coalition of Thoroughbred interests charged with increasing awareness of Thoroughbred racing and improving economic conditions for industry participants. The NTRA also conducts the Breeders' Cup, Thoroughbred racing's year-end Championship consisting of eight races and $13 million in purses and awards, and the Breeders' Cup National Stakes Program, which are funded by the industry's owners and breeders.
