TOP GERMAN RACE TO AIR LIVE SUNDAY ON ESPNEWS The UAE Grosser Preis von Baden, a mile-and-a-half turf race at Germany's Baden-Baden Racecourse that serves as the fourth leg of the Emirates World Series, will air live this Sunday at 10:25 a.m. (ET) on ESPNEWS with Chris Lincoln anchoring the coverage. The early race favorite is Hightori, a four-year-old colt bred and raced in France, who can take the lead in the 2001 Emirates World Series with a win or a second place finish on Sunday. The 2001 Emirates World Series standings currently feature a three-way tie at the top among Captain Steve, Galileo (IRE) and Silvano (GER). The NTRA is a broad-based coalition of horseracing interests, including the American Quarter Horse Association, charged with increasing awareness of Thoroughbred racing and improving economic conditions for industry participants. The NTRA also conducts the Breeders' Cup World Thoroughbred Championships, racing's year-end Championship consisting of eight races and $13 million in purses and awards, and the Breeders' Cup National Stakes Program, which are funded by the industry's owners and breeders. The NTRA has offices in Lexington, Ky., and New York City. A compendium of NTRA press releases appears on the NTRA Web site, ntra.com, and at the Web site for the Breeders' Cup Championship, breederscup.com. Contact the NTRA at ntra@ntra.com. -30- |
