DETAILED MEET STATISTICS NOW AVAILABLE FREE ON equibase.com
Equibase Company LLC today announced that comprehensive jockey, trainer and post position statistics broken out by distance and surface for every track in North America are now available at no charge through equibase.com.
"Availability of these detailed performance statistics complement the NTRA's efforts to promote our sport's individual participants by putting more information in the hands of consumers and making it easier for them to follow the racing at their favorite tracks," said Hank Zeitlin, executive vice president of marketing and sales for Equibase Company.
"Not every fan follows only the leading jockeys and trainers. Plenty of us develop a rooting interest in individuals that never make a leaders list," he added. "By including every jockey and trainer who has started at the meet instead of just the top 10 or 15, fans can follow the sport in a way that is unique to them, whether they're looking for basic information or wanting to discover jockeys and trainers who are adept at a particular distance or on a particular surface."
The jockey, trainer and post position statistics are accessible through the "Meet Statistics" icon in the menu on the left side of equibase.com. Jockey and trainer statistics include number of starts, wins, seconds, thirds, win percentage and in-the-money percentage for all races, and then breaks the statistics out by surface (main track and turf course) and distance (sprint and route). Post position statistics include starts, wins and win percentage for each post position in sprint, distance and turf races.
