ATTENTION: VETERINARIANS AND HORSEMEN

Effective immediately, horses receiving shock wave therapy (SWT) shall not race at tracks under the jurisdiction of the Illinois Racing Board for seven (7) days post treatment.

The trainer and/or attending veterinarian shall be responsible for reporting treatment to the Illinois State Veterinarian, and all records shall remain confidential.

The use of SWT machines should be limited to veterinarians only.

All violations of the above procedures should be reported to the stewards.
