Jockey Villafan injured in spill at Hawthorne

STICKNEY, IL -- Jockey Roberto Villafan was injured shortly after the start of Wednesday's 8th race at Hawthorne after his mount Unspoken broke down.

Villafan was taken to Loyola Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois for examination of injures to his left arm. Further details will be released upon receipt.
