CACTUS RIDGE DRILLS FOR BESSEMER TRUST BREEDERS' CUP JUVENILE

STICKNEY, IL -- Bessemer Trust Breeders' Cup Juvenile hopeful, Cactus Ridge, posted a five-furlong workout prior to Saturday's first race at Hawthorne Racecourse.

The talented 2-year-old was captured by the clocker in fractions of 11.81 for the eighth; 24.23 for the quarter; 36.63 for three-eighths; 48.11 for the half and 1:00.26 for five furlongs, under jockey Eddie Martin Jr. He galloped out in 1:13.45 for six furlongs and 1:27.55 for seven panels. The work was deemed breezing.
