| Hawthorne Racecourse daily notes (12/18/02) Contact: Jim Miller VILLAFAN INJURED Jockey Roberto Villafan was injured early in Wednesday's 8th race when his mount, Unspoken, broke down. Villafan was taken to Loyola Medical Center in Maywood for x-rays and examination. Further details will be released as they are made known. BIG THREE FOR EMIGH Jockey Chris Emigh had a three-bagger on a wet Wednesday card. He took the fourth with Keepitinthebag ($7.00), the seventh with Color Me Sad ($11.40), and the ninth with Morning Play ($4.20). Two of those winners, Color Me Sad and Morning Play, were trained by Frank Kirby. Emigh is leading the jockey race with 37 wins. YANEZ WINS A PAIR Trainer Moises Yanez had two wins on Wednesday. Keepitinthebag won the fourth and Tokyo Spy ($14.20) won the sixth. ### |
