Meier worked one horse on Wednesday and four on Friday morning. "I feel good," Meier offered Friday morning. "I got to work Magic Doe and he's one of my favorites.. Randy is expected to resume riding next Friday. SATURDAY HAPPENINGS AT HAWTHORNE RACE COURSE For the second year, Track Announcer Peter Galassi will host the Popular "Behind The Scenes at Hawthorne". This information packed presentation features a variety of jockeys, trainers, owners and guests involved with the sport of horse racing. This week's guests include Thomas F. Carey III, Hawthorne's Director of Operations; Jim Miller, Director of Media Relations, and maybe a few surprises. DERBY DOINGS Flying Dash, the probable favorite of Saturday's Grade 3 Hawthorne Derby, was schooled in the paddock prior to Friday's sixth race. ### |
