EXCLUSIVE ARTWORK, SPORTS MEMORABILIA WILL HIGHLIGHT AUCTION AT BREEDERS' CUP GALA LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Several exclusive pieces of original equine art, a VIP package to the 2001 Breeders' Cup at Belmont Park, a trip to historic Del Mar and a plethora of authentic sports memorabilia from some of the world's most popular athletes will be available in a silent auction that is part of the Breeders' Cup Charity Gala, which takes place on Friday, November 3, at the Kentucky International Convention Center in Louisville, Kentucky. Proceeds from the auction and the gala will benefit the Grayson-Jockey Club Research Foundation, NTRA Charities and the Muhammad Ali Center. The silent auction will feature more than 50 items. Other items include a weekend at the Waldorf-Astoria in New York City, a clubhouse box at Saratoga, a cigar humidor, a private dinner party in your home (for Kentucky residents only), a Lenox crystal horse; a Fred Stone limited-edition Triple Crown print; and a personal computer. The 17th running of the Breeders' Cup Championship will be held Saturday, Nov. 4 at Churchill Downs in Louisville, KY. The Grayson-Jockey Club Research Foundation funds equine research; the Muhammad Ali Center promotes tolerance, hope and understanding; NTRA Charities enhances various charitable endeavors in Thoroughbred racing.
