PEPSI FAMILY DAY AT ARLINGTON PARK RETURNS FOR 2004 SEASON Popular Sunday Promotion Includes Weekly Themes ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (April 19, 2004) -- One of the best ways for a family to spend a Sunday afternoon together is at Arlington Park. Every Sunday from May 16 through Sept. 19 is a Pepsi Family Day presented by the Daily Herald, which returns in 2004 with a special theme each week that the entire family can enjoy. "Every Pepsi Family Day will have a fun theme each week in addition to the popular children's activities like pony rides, petting zoo and crafts," said Keith Darby, senior director of marketing and sales for Arlington Park. Luaus, Mardi Gras, On The Farm, Carnival, Sports Announcing and Circus theme days are just a few of the great ways that Mom and Dad can spend time with the kids. In addition, all the favorite Family Day staples from years past -- pony rides, petting zoo and face painters -- are back. Also on Sundays, the children can sign up and participate in Arlington Park's Junior Jockey Club, which is open to kids 12 and under. The Junior Jockey Club, which is free to join, educates children about Arlington Park and horse racing through hands-on activities and giveaways. Members receive a free monthly newsletter highlighting club activities, horse terminology and upcoming events. Junior Jockey Club events are held on Pepsi Family Day Sundays. Some events require pre-registration on the Junior Jockey Club hotline - (847) 870-6614.
