MILLER LITE PARTY IN THE PARK RETURNS FOR 2004 SEASON
Band Schedule Announced For Popular Friday Promotion
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (March 15, 2004) -- Once again this summer, Arlington Park will be "the place to be" to kick off your weekends with the Miller Lite Party in the Park on Friday afternoons from May 14 through September 19.
"Live music from top local bands, the excitement of live Thoroughbred racing and Miller Lite specials combine to make this the best way to get an early start on the weekend," said Arlington Park Senior Director of Marketing and Sales Keith Darby in announcing the 2004 band lineup. "And if you join Club Miller Lite and come back often enough, you can win a free season pass for 2005, merchandise or a variety of other great benefits."
The popular promotion returns for the 2004 meet starting on Opening Day, Friday, May 14 with live music by Voices and a live remote from WCKG-FM afternoon drive personality Steve Dahl. Post time on Fridays is 3 p.m. from May through August, and 2:30 p.m. during the month of September.
The appearance by Dahl is just one of many scheduled appearances by radio personalities at the Miller Lite Party in the Park. The Zone's (WZZN 94.7 FM) Steve Fisher will broadcast every Friday in June from 1-6 p.m. from the Park area.
On July 16, WXRT-FM disk jockey Terri Hemmert will host WXRT's Tribute to the Beatles featuring award-winning Beatles tribute band British Export. The following month, on August 6, Lin Brehmer will host WXRT's Fourth Annual Day at Arlington Park with live music by L. U. V.
Sports enthusiasts will want to be on hand on Friday, August 13, the day before Arlington Million XXII, for a live remote by the SCORE's Wise Guys, Mike North and Doug Buffone. Later in August, on the 27th, ESPN Radio 1000's evening team of Marc Silverman and Carmen DeFalco will host "Silvy & Carmen's Afternoon Out" at Arlington.
On May 28, racing fans are invited to join Arlington Park bugler Bonny Brown and her Caribbean band rhumbuzzz for a great start to the Memorial Day weekend.
A perfect way to kick off the weekend, the Miller Lite Party in the Park is Arlington Park's most rockin' promotion with live music and beer specials every week. Fans can join Club Miller Lite, a free attendance-based rewards program that can earn fans a season's pass for 2005 and other great prizes.
