ARLINGTON ANNOUNCES PARTNERSHIP WITH CLIFFORD JEEP CHRYSLER
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (Sept. 4, 2003) -- Arlington Park announced today that Clifford Jeep Chrysler has been named as an official partner of Arlington Park for the remainder of the 2003 race meet, which runs through Saturday, Sept. 27. As part of the agreement, the Buffalo Grove-based dealership will display two vehicles, one in the paddock and the other in the park area, at Arlington Park for the rest of the racing season.
In addition, Clifford Jeep Chrysler will sponsor a Pick 8 Contest to win a new Jeep Liberty Sport on Arlington Park's closing day, Saturday, September 27. Any contestant who correctly selects the winner of all eight races, which will include the Grade III Arlington-Washington Futurity and Grade III Arlington-Washington Lassie, which will both feature some of the top 2-year-olds in the country, wins the vehicle.
"We are thrilled with our new sponsorship agreement with Clifford Jeep Chrysler and the exciting Pick 8 contest on September 27," said Carl Schloessman, vice president of marketing for Arlington Park. "This agreement affords both of our organizations the opportunity to benefit greatly from this new relationship and demonstrates the continued growth of Arlington's marketing involvement with the local business community."
"Since my daughter Julie owns horses that race at Arlington Park, we truly understand the value that they can deliver to us through this partnership," said Chuck Clifford, president of Clifford Jeep Chrysler. "It will afford Clifford Jeep Chrysler the ability to reach potential purchasers in a fun, exciting and effective manner. We viewed this opportunity as a means of complementing our advertising campaign and providing our customers added value when they visit our dealership and look forward to continuing this great relationship in the future."
Other elements of the partnership include a "Test Drive" promotion that will provide two free general admission passes good for any day at Arlington Park for the remainder of the 2003 season to anyone who test drives a vehicle at Clifford Jeep Chrysler and a "Losing Voucher Redemption" in which any fan can take a losing wagering voucher from Arlington Park to Clifford Jeep Chrysler and receive $500 off any new or used car.
Also, Clifford Jeep Chrysler will offer service discount coupons in the track's Daily Racing Guide.
Arlington Park -- host to the record-breaking 2002 Breeders' Cup World Thoroughbred Championships and the Chicago area's premier Thoroughbred racetrack located in Arlington Heights, Ill. -- runs a 104-day meet in 2003 through Saturday, Sept. 27.
