JUNIOR JOCKEY CLUB EDUCATES CHILDREN ABOUT HORSES AND RACING

Sunday Club for Children 12 and Under Returns in 2003 with Expanded Schedule of Events

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (April 29, 2003) -- Arlington Park's Junior Jockey Club is back for the 2003 season with a bigger and better schedule of events to introduce children to the majesty of the Thoroughbred and the pageantry of horse racing.

"Last year, we saw a tremendous growth in Junior Jockey Club once our fans learned about the interesting and fun activities for the kids," said Arlington Park Vice President, Marketing and Sales Carl Schloessman in announcing the 2003 schedule. "So this year, we are increasing the variety and quantity of Junior Jockey Club events to create even more reasons for families to come out to Arlington Park this summer."

The Junior Jockey Club, open to children 12 and under, educates children about Arlington Park and horse racing through hands-on activities and giveaways. The Junior Jockey Club is free to join and kids receive a free monthly newsletter highlighting club activities, horse terminology and upcoming events.

Junior Jockey Club events are held from noon until 4 p.m. in the Park area (unless noted otherwise) on Pepsi Family Day Sundays from May 25 through Sept. 7. Some events require pre-registration on the Junior Jockey Club hotline starting on June 15 at 847/870-6614. The complete schedule of Junior Jockey Club events follows.
