TWIN SPIRES CLUB MEMBERSHIP BECOMES MORE VALUABLE WITH DISCOUNT ADMISSION
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (April 1, 2003) -- Arlington Park President Cliff Goodrich announced today that Twin Spires Club members will be entitled to a discount admission of $4.75, a $1.25 savings from the new $6 admission price, for the Arlington live meet that runs from Friday, May 9 to Saturday, Sept. 27. 2003.
Enrollment in the Twin Spires Club is free and also entitles members to special rewards, benefits and promotions throughout the season.
"There is no charge to join the Twin Spires Club and you save the $1.25 on admission along with enjoying all of the membership benefits," said Goodrich in making the announcement. "We will use the first three weeks of our race meet to get the word out and give our customers time to join the Twin Spires Club before the price change takes effect on June 4."
The Twin Spires Club is the player-reward program in which members earn points and special benefits each time they wager. Participating locations in Illinois are Arlington Park and its six Trackside off-track betting (OTB) facilities -- Trackside Arlington Park (Arlington Heights), Trackside Quad City Downs (East Moline), Trackside Chicago, Trackside Rockford, Trackside Waukegan and Longshots featuring Trackside OTB in South Elgin. Other locations outside of Illinois are -- Churchill Downs, Ellis Park and Trackside Louisville OTB in Kentucky, Calder Race Course in Florida, and Hoosier Park and its three OTBs -- Trackside Fort Wayne, Trackside Indianapolis and Trackside Merrilville - in Indiana.
Arlington Park -- host to the record-breaking 2002 Breeders' Cup World Thoroughbred Championships and the Chicago area's premier Thoroughbred racetrack located in Arlington Heights, Ill. -- will run a 104-day meet in 2003 from Friday, May 9 through Saturday, Sept. 27.
