MALONEY NAMED DIRECTOR OF SALES AT ARLINGTON PARK
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (Feb. 6, 2003) -- Thomas M. Maloney has been named director of sales for Arlington Park in Arlington, Heights, Ill. Maloney will be responsible for overseeing and managing the northwest suburban racetrack's Group Sales department and will report to Carl Schloessman, the track's vice president of marketing and sales.
"Tom's extensive background in sales management and training will be a great asset to our sales team," said Schloessman. "His knowledge of the Thoroughbred racing business from being a horse owner in Argentina will give him a tremendous advantage in his new position."
Maloney, 37, joins Arlington Park with an extensive background in sales management and training. Most recently, he served as North American sales director for Equitrac Corporation, a leading provider of document accounting systems in professional and F1000 markets, where he led a sales force of 26 representatives and nine managers.
Previously, Maloney held the position of Latin America business development manager for Cisco Systems Inc., a leading provider of data networking infrastructure, where he led that company's software initiative.
He resides in Lake Villa, Ill. with his wife Mariana and daughter Katie.
Arlington Park will hold its 104-day meet in 2003 from Friday, May 9 through Saturday, Sept. 27.
