ARLINGTON PARK 2003 MILLION SEATS AND DISCOUNT SEASON PASSES ON SALE NOW
Season Pass, 10-Day Mini Pass, Million Room Package and Gift Certificates Available for Holidays
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (Nov. 27, 2002) -- In preparation for the upcoming holiday season, Arlington Park announced Wednesday that seats and dining reservations for the Arlington Million plus discount passes, dining packages, gift certificates and reserved seats for the 2003 Arlington race meet will go on sale today. Next year, Arlington Park, the Chicago area's premier Thoroughbred racetrack located in Arlington Heights, Ill., will run a 104-day meet from Friday, May 9 to Saturday, September 27, 2003.
"In the last two years, we received an outstanding response to offering these Arlington Park items in time for the holidays," said Arlington Park President Steve Sexton. "They make great gifts and we have already received many requests for them this year."
Dining room reservations, reserved seating and general admission for the 21st running of the Arlington Million on Saturday, Aug. 16, 2003 can be purchased immediately. Reserved dining room seating in the International Room, which includes buffet and bar service, is $100; in the Million Room with a view of the track for $75; and in the Million Room on the paddock side or on the Platform for $40 each.
Arlington Million reserved seats are $75 for Clubhouse Box Seats, $50 for Grandstand Box Seats, $20 for Clubhouse Reserved and $15 for Grandstand Reserved. In addition, pre-purchased general admission is available for $8.
The 2003 Admission Pass costs $300 and is good for admission with a Daily Racing Guide to Arlington Park every day during the live 2003 meet from May 9 to Sept. 27 and for admission only to Trackside Arlington Park from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31, 2003. Season passes are not valid at either location on Arlington Million Day on Saturday, Aug. 16. The Admission Pass has a $515 value for the Arlington Park live meet and is worth an additional $477 annually at Trackside Arlington Park.
The 10-admittance Mini Pass is $40, a $10 savings, for 10 general admissions with an Arlington Daily Racing Guide to the 2003 Arlington Park meet except on Saturday, Aug. 16.
Million Room Certificates, which include a discount luncheon package with admissions, Arlington Daily Racing Guides and lunch for four in the Million Room, are $110. Lunch consists of one appetizer per table, one entrée and dessert per person, and includes complimentary soda, coffee or tea. Alcoholic beverages, tax and gratuity are not included. Reservations for the Million Room, which are required and subject to availability, can be made in the spring. Million Room Certificates, not valid for selected special race days, will only be on sale until May 1, 2003.
Pre-paid Preferred Parking Booklets, good for every day of the 2003 meet except Arlington Million Day, can be purchased for $250 (savings of more than $200).
Arlington Park Gift Certificates, in $5, $10 and $20 denominations, make great stocking stuffers and may be used at full cash value at the track or any Trackside OTB facility.
Applications for the Arlington Park 2003 Admission Pass, 10-admission Mini Pass, Million Room Certificate, Preferred Parking Booklet and $20, $10 or $5 Gift Certificates will be available at Arlington Park and Trackside Arlington Park starting Wednesday, Nov. 27. In addition, applications can be obtained by phone (847) 385-7500; fax (847) 385-7251; or mail (Arlington Park, P.O. Box 7, Arlington Heights, IL 60006). Beginning Wednesday, Dec. 4, all applications also will be available on the track's website at www.arlingtonpark.com. There is a $5 service and handling fee on all orders.
Arlington Park -- host to the record-breaking 2002 Breeders' Cup World Thoroughbred Championships and the Chicago area's premier Thoroughbred racetrack located in Arlington Heights, Ill. -- will run a 104-day meet in 2003 from Friday, May 9 through Saturday, Sept. 27.
