REQUIREMENTS TO ENTER ARLINGTON PARK AND HAWTHORNE RACE COURSE
TO: ALL HORSEMEN
FROM: STATE VETERINARIANS OFFICE
DR. DAWN FOLKER-CALDERON AND DR. JUSTIN HAYNA
THE FOLLOWING ARE REQUIREMENTS TO ENTER ON TO THE RACETRACK GROUNDS.
- A Valid (Health Certificate) Certificate of Veterinary Inspection
- Issued within 5 days prior to entry
- Including valid rectal temperature
- Vaccinated for EHV-1 (Rhinopneumonitis) by a licensed veterinarian, with the date of vaccination and product listed on the certificate, that is not more than 60 days and not less than 14 days prior to entry.
- Negative coggins within the last 12 months
- Illinois Permit to Enter Number on the Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (Health Certificate), obtained from the Illinois Department of Agriculture. (Out of state horses only.) PHONE NUMBER IS (217) 782-4944.
The Following vaccinations are STRONGLY recommended:
- West Nile Virus
- Equine Influenza
- EVA (Equine Viral Arteritis)
- Eastern and Western Equine Encephalomyelitis
- Tetanus Toxoid
