The 35th running of the Grade III Sixty Sails Handicap, for Fillies and Mares three years old and up going a mile and an eighth on the main track, closed with 14 nominations (pending late mail), including She's All In, the defending champion. This race will be contested at Hawthorne Race Course on Saturday, April 20 as part of the under card on Illinois Derby day.

Brushed By a Star, trained by Eddie Kenneally, heads the list. She most recently finished third behind Joyful Victory in the Grade I Santa Margarita at Santa Anita. That race was preceded by second-place finishes in both the inaugural $400,000 Houston Ladies Classic at Sam Houston Park in March and the Grade II Fall City Handicap at Churchill Downs in November. Overall, she has earned in excess of $589,000 while winning six of 22 races lifetime. In addition, Kenneally has nominated Ciguaraya.

Trainer Todd Pletcher has two nominated: Authenticity and Disposablepleasure. Authenticity was recently second in the Grade III Rampart at Gulfstream while Disposablepleasure, fresh off a wire-to-wire Allowance Optional Claiming race at Gulfstream, seeks to return to the form that allowed her to finish second in the Grade I Mother Goose at Belmont last summer.

Hawthorne Race Course has been Chicago's "hometown track" for 122 years and currently offers the only traditional dirt racing for Thoroughbreds in northern Illinois. Hawthorne's spring meet opens February 15 and runs through April. Live racing is hosted Friday through Sunday in February and Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday in March and April. Daily post time is 1:35 pm, and admission costs $4. The historic track is located a half-mile north of I-55 on Cicero Avenue, and 2 miles south of I-290 on Laramie Avenue at 35th Street.
