Brandon Meier update: dislocated shoulder
Brandon Meier, thrown from his mount in Friday's eighth race at Hawthorne Race Course, has apparently suffered a dislocated shoulder and has various other minor injuries. According to various sources, he was in good spirits Friday night and hopes to return to riding within a week.
Popular rider Brandon Meier was unseated at the top of the stretch when his mount, Bedroom Eyes, clipped heels with Beauty of Scarlet.
Beauty of Scarlet with Seth Martinez aboard went on to finish second but was disqualified and placed sixth.
