ARLINGTON INTERNATIONAL TO OFFER FOUR WAGERS WITH 15% TAKEOUT RATES FOR 2013 MEET

50-Cent Pick 5, $1 Pick 6, $1 Jackpot High 5 and 10-cent Jackpot Pick 9 to Feature Low Takeout

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (April 25, 2013) – Arlington International Racecourse can boast that it is the only racetrack in the United States to offer four wagers on its menu featuring a low takeout rate of 15 percent.

Returning wagers with the low 15 percent takeout rate are the 50-cent Pick 5 and the $1 Jackpot High 5, which last year returned an Arlington record payoff of more than $1.1 million when it was finally solved for the first time on the 23rd day of the meet.

Offering a 15 percent takeout rate for the first time in 2013 are the $1 Pick 6, which will cover the final six races daily, and the all-new 10-cent Jackpot Pick 9.

The entire net pool on the Jackpot Pick 9 will only be paid out when there is a single winning ticket sold that correctly selects the official winners in the designated Pick 9 races. If there are multiple tickets sold that correctly select the official winners in the designated Pick 9 races, then 50 percent of the daily Jackpot Pick 9 pool will be distributed among those ticket holders and 50 percent of the daily pool will be carried over to the next day.

Other highlights of Arlington’s 2013 wagering menu are two 50-cent Pick 4 wagers. The brisnet.com Early Pick 4 will cover races 2-5 while the 50-cent twinspires.com Late Pick 4 will be offered on the final four races each day. In the event that no bettor correctly selects all four official winners in either Pick 4 sequence, there will be a carryover to the next racing day’s corresponding Pick 4 pool (early-to-early; late-to-late).

Brisnet.com will offer free Ultimate Past Performances for the Early Pick 4 each day at brisnet.com and arlingtonpark.com, as well as complete analysis of the entire Arlington Park card in both the live racing program and online at arlingotnpark.com.

Every Wednesday in May and June, the TwinSpires.com Late Pick 4 will offer a guaranteed pool of $40,000, provided that there are at least six betting interests in all four races and all scheduled turf races in the sequence remain on the turf.

In addition, Arlington will offer rolling $1 Pick 3 wagers and rolling $2 Daily Double wagers (with a $1 wheel option).

The track will also offer the standard single-race wagers - $2 win, place and show bets on every race; a $2 Exacta (with $1 boxes and wheels available) on each race; a 50-cent Trifecta on all races eligible under Illinois Racing Board rules; and a 10-cent Superfecta on all races eligible under Illinois Racing Board rules.

Returning for 2013 is the FastBet® Mobile wagering service which allows Arlington guests to wager on live and simulcast races using a mobile device such as a smart phone or tablet. In addition to being offered on track, FastBet® Mobile is available at most Trackside Off-Track Betting locations and will be available at all locations in the near future.

Arlington International Racecourse – the Chicago area’s premier Thoroughbred racetrack located in Arlington Heights, Ill. – will run an 89-day meet in 2013 from Friday, May 3 through Sunday, Sept. 29. Arlington International Racecourse, whose parent company is Churchill Downs Incorporated (Nasdaq: CHDN), also operates 11 off-track, simulcast-wagering facilities – Trackside Arlington Park (Arlington Heights), Trackside Quad City Downs (East Moline), Trackside Waukegan, Joe’s Bar on Weed Street featuring Trackside Chicago, Tavern on North featuring Trackside Villa Park, Shooters Bar & Grill at Don Carter Lanes featuring Trackside Rockford, Stanley’s Ale House featuring Trackside OTB in South Elgin, Nicolino’s featuring Trackside OTB in McHenry, Trackside OTB in Hodgkins, Sam’s Triple Crown featuring Trackside Orland Hills and the Foundry featuring Trackside Aurora Information on Arlington International Racecourse can be found online at www.arlingtonpark.com, on Facebook at www.facebook.com/arlingtonpark and www.facebook.com/tracksideotb, and on Twitter at @Arlington_Park for the latest happenings, @arlingtonracing for the latest racing news and @tracksideotb for all things pertaining to off-track wagering.
