Senator Sullivan Hawthorne Race Day

The ITHA legislative team (Mike Campbell, Glen Berman, and Chris Block) are requesting your attendance in support of Senator John Sullivan, a Democratic member of the Illinois Senate representing the 47th District since 2002. Senator Sullivan currently serves as Majority Whip. He also is the Chairperson of the Agriculture and Conservation Committees, Vice-Chairperson of Appropriations III Committee, and a member of the Higher Education and Transportation Committees. As a long standing and respected member of our racing community our legislative team is asking for your financial support for Friends Of John Sullivan at a fundraiser sponsored by the Horsemen's Coalition (ITHA, HBPA, ITBOF, and IHHA).
Senator Sullivan has consistently been an advocate for the racing industry. When SB 744 passed the Illinois General Assembly on May 31, 2011, it was Senator Sullivan who spoke as a proponent for legislative relief for the horsemen and our struggling industry. Never before have Chicago Thoroughbred, Standardbred, and Downstate horsemen been in agreement to support any elected legislator at such an event. The ITHA supports Senator Sullivan because he understands how agri-business in Illinois includes all aspects of the racing community. If you care about your future and the future of the Thoroughbred racing and breeding industries in Illinois, the ITHA is asking for your donation in support of this very special legislator.
