Adopted Rulemaking


The following amendments have been adopted and will be effective November 28, 2012:

Part 603 – Medication

Section 603.60 – Permitted Use of Foreign Substances and Threshold levels.

Reduce the threshold level of phenylbutazone and oxylbutazone from 5 micrograms per milliliter in serum or plasma to 2 micrograms. Amend the penalties for overages for phenylbutazone, oxyphenybutazone, flunixin and ketoprofen.

Section 603.75 – Environmental Contaminants

Add caffeine with a threshold level of 100 nanograms per milliliter in urine. Caffeine overages shall be treated as a class 2 drug.
