Balmoral Park to host V103 party with radio legend Herb Kent “The Cool Gent” and Joe Soto on August 18
Balmoral Park, one of the nation’s premier horse racing tracks, will play host to V103 / WVAZ-FM radio legend Herb Kent “The Cool Gent” and afternoon drive personality Joe Soto on from 7 - 9 pm on August 18.
In addition to the radio station appearance, Keith Jackson and The Triple Dose band will entertain the crowd from 6:30 - 10 pm.
First cousin to the renowned Jackson family, Keith also hails from Gary, IN and was influenced by Jermaine Jackson to take up the bass guitar at an early age. Keith has shared the stage with Coco Taylor and Shirley King (daughter of BB King), Rolling Stones, Hall & Oates, and in 2005 toured with Tito Jackson. He has also opened for artists such as the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Fishbone, and Steel Pulse.
The appearance is part of the Miller Lite Saturday Nite summer-long series at Balmoral Park which features $2 bottles of Miller Lite, Coors Light, and MGD, $2 grill items, and free drawings for prizes including a $50 betting voucher.
Doors open at 5:30 pm with live horse racing beginning at 7:10 pm. Balmoral Park races live all year round. Both admission and parking are always free.
