BALMORAL PARK HOSTS NON-COMPETITIVE 5k WALK TO BEAT BREAST CANCER
Balmoral Park, one of the nation’s premier horse racing venues, has partnered with the American Cancer Society to host one of their popular “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer” walks this Saturday, August 11.
People are invited to pre-register for the walk at www.MakingStridesBalmoralPark.com or they can sign up onsite at Balmoral Park on Saturday to walk 3.1 miles on the actual racetrack.
Registration / Check in begins at 2 pm with the walk starting at 3:45 pm. The American Cancer Society will also host a variety of activities including a DJ, children’s area, survivor tent and more. All participants in the walk will be offered a $5 discount in the Balmoral Club Dining Room that evening as well.
When live racing begins at 7:10 pm that night, all breast cancer survivors who take place in the walk will be invited into the Winners Circle for a photo with the winning horse after race #2.
