All dogs go to heaven…and Balmoral Park

Bring your dog to “Bark At The Park” THIS SATURDAY June 30 for an evening of fun!

It’s usually people watching the horse racing at Balmoral Park Racetrack in Crete, IL but this Saturday June 30, dogs are welcome as well. This Saturday, Balmoral Park once again hosts the annual “Bark at the Park” night inviting pet owners to bring their dogs out for a fun summer night of live horse racing.

The South Suburban Humane Society will be onsite offering nail trimming and micro-chipping services ($10 and $20 respectively) as well as having plenty of pretty pooches onsite for adoption. Keep ‘Em Kozy Pet Sitting will be onsite as well with free doggie treats for every dog in attendance.

Dogs will be allowed in designated “Doggie Areas” which include the track apron as well as the First Turn grassy area, a fenced off area where dogs can sprawl and their owners can relax on picnic benches. All dogs are required to be leashed at all times and owners are asked to bring only ‘friendly’ dogs and ‘pick up’ after their animals.

The happy humans in attendance (both with and without pets) will be able to enjoy $2 bottles of Miller Lite, Coors Light and MGD along with $2 hot dogs, hamburgers, brats and rib sandwiches. Bernie Glim and the CRB will be performing a free outdoor concert from 6:30 – 10:30 pm as well.

Doors open at 5:30 pm with live racing starting at 7:10 pm.

Balmoral Park ALWAYS features free parking and free admission.
