Balmoral Park to host RUNNIN' WITH THE HORSES 5k Event
Long known for racing horses, Balmoral Park will host racing humans in the 4th annual Runnin’ With The Horses 5k run on Saturday June 2, 2012.
The 5k course winds the historic grounds of Balmoral Park with the final mile ON THE TRACK finishing at the actual finish line alongside horses as they warm up on the outside of the track!
Awards are given to the Top 3 Overall Male & Top 3 Overall Female finishers in addition to the Top 3 Male & Females in each division ranging from 15 & under to 60+. The event is timed using Chip Timing Technology from T&H timing.
100 percent of the event proceeds benefit DAYBREAK CENTER of Will County, IL, which provides housing and services to those in need.
Registration is $25 per person and includes:
• Event race shirt
• Post race Fruit & Refreshments provided by Walt’s Foods
• Free trial membership to any FUEL Fitness location
• One free pint of beer at the Brewhaha Beer Festival (for runners 21 & over)
• The Brewhaha features over two dozen craft beers, live music by The Muddsharks, food and live racing.

ABOUT DAYBREAK CENTER: Daybreak Shelter operates 24-hours a day, 365 days a year providing emergency housing and supportive services to individuals and families who are homeless / in need of short-term housing as a result of a situational crisis while others need support services as they work to reestablish permanent housing.
