Sunday night racing at Balmoral Park is off to a flying start in 2012. Three Sundays this year have handled $3,444,084 on only 34 races. The nightly averages for Sunday night racing have exploded at Balmoral, with a nightly handle of $1,148,028, for an average of $101,296 wagered per race. Balmoral Park is coming off a season high $1,408,138 wagered on the Saturday night program.
Multi-race mania strikes Balmoral Park again on Sunday. One carryover and two guaranteed pools are sure to bring additional attention to the mile track tonight. The 50-cent Pick 5 wager is offered on races 2 through 6. The Pick Five has a one-day carryover of $5,909, a guaranteed pool of $10,000 and an estimated pool of $25,000. Post time for the second race is 8:30 Eastern, 7:30 Central and 5:30 Pacific.
Balmoral will also offer a $25,000 Guaranteed Pick 4 pool on races 7 through 10. The Pick 4 immediately follows the conclusion of the Pick 5 and has a one-dollar minimum and a low takeout of 15 percent. The three Sunday Pick Four pools in 2012 have all exceeded $30,000. Balmoral offers a Guaranteed Pick 4 wager every night with a 15 percent takeout. The guarantees are $15,000 on Wednesdays, $20,000 on Saturdays and $25,000 on Sundays.
