Sunday night racing averaging over $100,000 per race

Sunday night racing at Balmoral Park is off to a flying start in 2012. Three Sundays this year have handled $3,444,084 on only 34 races. The nightly averages for Sunday night racing have exploded at Balmoral, with a nightly handle of $1,148,028, for an average of $101,296 wagered per race. Balmoral Park is coming off a season high $1,408,138 wagered on the Saturday night program.

Multi-race mania strikes Balmoral Park again on Sunday. One carryover and two guaranteed pools are sure to bring additional attention to the mile track tonight. Handicappers across North America can get a head start on their competition with free program pages for the Pick Four on races 7 through 10 right now courtesy of the USTA and Track Master on the handicapping section at www.ustrotting.com.

The 50-cent Pick 5 wager is offered on races 2 through 6. The Pick Five has a one-day carryover of $5,909, a guaranteed pool of $10,000 and an estimated pool of $25,000. Post time for the second race is 8:30 Eastern, 7:30 Central and 5:30 Pacific.

Balmoral will also offer a $25,000 Guaranteed Pick 4 pool on races 7 through 10. The Pick 4 immediately follows the conclusion of the Pick 5 and has a one-dollar minimum and a low takeout of 15 percent. The three Sunday Pick Four pools in 2012 have all exceeded $30,000. Balmoral offers a Guaranteed Pick 4 wager every night with a 15 percent takeout. The guarantees are $15,000 on Wednesdays, $20,000 on Saturdays and $25,000 on Sundays.
