POST TIME FOR THURSDAY, JULY 5 MOVED TO 5:00 PM

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (July 4, 2012) – After consulting with the Illinois Racing Board, other racing interests and the National Weather Service, Arlington Park management has adjusted first race post time to 5 pm for Thursday, July 5 it was announced today by track General Manager Tony Petrillo.

“By starting our races at 5 pm on Thursday, we can avoid the worst of the heat,” Petrillo said. “The hour-by-hour forecast shows temperatures starting to fall by the late afternoon. That drop in temperature combined with the extra precautions that Arlington has implemented for hot weather creates a better situation for both the human and equine athletes as well as our fans.”
