JACKPOT HIGH-5 CARRYOVER FOR SATURDAY STANDS AT $193,956; PICK-9 CARRYOVER FOR SATURDAY UP TO $40,720
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (May 16, 2012) – The Jackpot High-5 and Pick 9 remained elusive through the first nine racing days at Arlington Park with the Jackpot High-5 carryover pool at $193,956 and the Win Pick 9 carryover pool at $40,720 heading into Saturday’s 11-race card.
In addition, the Pick 5 was not hit Friday and will have a carryover pool of $14,535 entering Saturday’s program.
The Jackpot High-5 is a $1 wager that requires the bettor to select the first five finishers in exact order in the last race of the day. The Jackpot provision means that the entire pool pays out only when there is one and only one winning ticket sold that correctly selects the first five finishers in exact order.
In the event there are multiple tickets sold with the first five finishers in exact order, 50 percent of the daily Jackpot High-5 pool will be distributed to those ticket holders and 50 percent of the daily Jackpot High-5 pool will be carried over to the next scheduled Jackpot High-5 event and added to any existing carryover pool.
The Win Pick 9 is a 10-cent wager that requires the bettor to correctly select the winner in the first nine races of the day.
The Pick 5 is a 50-cent wager that requires the bettor to correctly select the winner in the day’s final five races.
The takeout on all three wagers is just 15 percent.
First post on Saturday is 1 pm CDT. Post time for the day’s seventh race, the start of the Pick 5 wager, is scheduled for 4:12 pm CDT. Post time for the 11th race for the Jackpot High-5 will be at approximately 6:09 pm CDT.
