Arlington Park, ITHA Reach Contract for 2012 Season
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (May 2, 2012) – Arlington Park and the Illinois Thoroughbred Horsemen’s Association jointly announced that they have agreed to a new contract for the 2012 race season.
Arlington Park’s opening day is Friday, May 4. The program will feature 9 live races and will include all races from Churchill Downs featuring the Kentucky Oaks. Doors open at 11:15 am and first post is 3:00 pm.
On Saturday, May 5 doors open at 10:45 am for the largest Kentucky Derby party outside of Louisville. First post is 12:15 pm for a nine-race card. Also, a full card of races will be simulcast from Churchill which will be highlighted by the 138th running of the world-famous Kentucky Derby.

Arlington Park – the Chicago area’s premier Thoroughbred racetrack located in Arlington Heights, Ill. – will run a 90-day meet in 2012 from Friday, May 4 through Sunday, Sept. 30.
