GOVERNOR MAKES APPOINTMENTS TO RACING BOARD


CHICAGO, IL - Governor Pat Quinn announced the following appointments to the Illinois Racing Board:

William Berry, an attorney from Collinsville, appointed as Chairman for a term expiring July 1, 2014.

Patricia Beauvais, a horse breeder from Des Plaines, appointed for a term expiring July 1, 2016. She succeeds Jonathan Metcalf whose term has expired.

Kathy Byrne, an attorned from Chicago, appointed for a term expiring July 1, 2016. She succeeds William Farley whose term has expired.

Benjamin Reyes, a businessman from Chicago, appointed for a term expiring July 1, 2016. He succeeds Michael Murphy whose term has expired.

Roger Whalen, a retired Chicago Police Department captain from Chicago, appointed for a term expiring July 1, 2014. He succeeds Timothy Martin whose term has expired.
