Our Domain heads Pat Whitworth Illinois Debutante

STICKNEY, IL – The 29th running of the Pat Whitworth Illinois Debutante has been carded as Saturday's seventh race. This mile and a sixteenth event is for Illinois bred 2-year-old fillies. For many of them, it will be their first try around two turns.

William Stiritz's homebred, Our Domain, has been installed as the 2-1 morning line favorite. Rider Chris Emigh, who has been aboard for this filly's last three starts, gets the return call for this Scott Becker trainee. Our Domain is one of only four fillies in this race that have broken their maiden and she is the only one that has a win around two turns.

Shelbi Catalano's Class Break could offer the main challenge. She's the only one in the race with more than one win, a feat she accomplished with a victory in the $112,000 Showtime Deb here last month, in her most recent start. Trained by Wayne Catalano and ridden by Florent Geroux, this will be her initial two-turn attempt.
