PAINT THE PARK PINK
Balmoral Park joins the fight against breast cancer this Saturday with pink horseshoes and a photo finish
Balmoral Park, Chicagoland’s premier harness horse racing facility, is joining the fight against breast cancer THIS SATURDAY (10/8) as they host “Paint the Park Pink” night with a host of activities.
HANG A PINK HORSESHOE
Fans are encouraged to purchase a pink horseshoe in support or memory of someone who has been affected by breast cancer. Horseshoes are actual horseshoes and will be displayed on the “Paint the Park Pink” walls along the main entrance for the entire month of October. Shoes will be sold for $2.50 per and all net proceeds benefit the Chicagoland Area Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
RACE DEDICATION
Balmoral Park will dedicate the 4th race of the evening to the fight against breast cancer.
PHOTO OP
All race fans (men and women) are encouraged to wear pink that evening and join us in the Winner's Circle after the 4th race for a group photo with the winning horse.
FREE PINK BRACELETS
The 1st 500 female patrons will receive a FREE pink Balmoral Park “Built On Pure Horsepower” bracelet.
“Breast cancer is a horrible disease that has found a way to somehow affect everyone in one way or another,” states Marketing Director Ken Churilla. “Our goal on October 8 is to gather a large number of breast cancer fighters, survivors, and the ones that love them at Balmoral Park to not only enjoy time with each other but take advantage of a fresh new way to raise money to make headway against this deadly disease.”
