TRACKSIDE OFF TRACK BETTING FALL HANDICAPPING CONTEST SERIES RETURNS OCTOBER 22

Weekly Winners to Compete for Horse Players World Series Berth

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (Oct. 4, 2011) – Arlington Park will offer live money handicapping contests on five Saturdays this autumn at selected Trackside Off Track Betting locations. The top five finishers each contest will receive cash prizes ($500, $250, $125, $75 and $50 in TSC points) and the top 10 finishers each qualifying round will get a chance to return for the Dec. 10 series final to compete for a berth in Coast Casino's Horseplayer World Series to be held in the winter of 2012.

All players need to do to participate is purchase a $50 contest wagering card at the Twin Spires Club Center at the participating location on day of each contest and play a minimum of five races from any Thoroughbred race with a post time before 6:30 pm CT. Each player must be a Twin Spires Club member to participate. Twin Spires Club membership is free and guests may join at the Twin Spires Club Center at Arlington Park or any Trackside Off-Track Wagering location.

Each contest will be organic to a typical day at the track, meaning that players will have the flexibility to wager in more pools (Win, Place, Show, Exacta, Trifecta, Superfecta, and multi-race wagers such as the Pick 3 and Pick 4) than in most other contests and have freedom to participate from any location within the facility as there is no need for assigned contest wagering windows. However, all wagers must be made using the contest card at self service terminals only. Contestants may invest winnings from contest races into future contest wagers. For complete contest rules, visit Arlington Park’s Web site at www.arlingtonpark.com.

The winner of the Series Final to be held on Dec. 10 at Trackside Arlington Park will earn a berth in Coast Casino's Horseplayer World Series and an expense-paid trip to Las Vegas.

Contest dates for the Fall 2011 Handicapping Contest Series are as follows:

Qualifying Round 1: Saturday, Oct. 22 at Trackside Arlington Park
Qualifying Round 2: Saturday, Oct. 29 at Trackside Waukegan (Green Bay Rd.)
Qualifying Round 3: Saturday, Nov. 12 at Trackside Villa Park
Qualifying Round 4: Saturday, Nov. 19 at Trackside Rockford
Qualifying Round 5: Saturday, Dec. 3 at Trackside Lockport

Fall Series Final: Saturday, Dec. 10 at Trackside Arlington Park*

* Offers a first-place prize of a trip to the Coast Casinos Horseplayer World Series.

An additional stand-alone Trackside OTB Contest centering on the races from Woodbine Race Course is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 16 to coincide with that track’s Canadian International program. This contest, which will be available at all Illinois Trackside locations, is not part of the Fall Series.
