TRACKSIDE COMES TO NEW VILLA PARK, ILLINOIS RESTAURANT

Off-Track Wagering Facility Part of New Salerno-Pincente Ristorante

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (July 5, 2011) – Salerno-Pincente Ristorante and Trackside Off-Track Betting are coming to Villa Park this July, boasting one of the finest Italian restaurants in the area as well as Illinois’ newest Trackside Off-Track Wagering operation. There will be a VIP reception on Friday, July 15 at 4 pm featuring restaurant owners Andrew Salerno and Frank Pincente, representatives of the Village of Villa Park and Arlington Park officials to cut the ribbon and place the ceremonial first wager. The official public opening is slated for Monday, July 18.

A Grand Opening Celebration will run from July 18 through July 23, and will include an appearance by Arlington Park–based jockeys Tim Thornton and Tanner Riggs, and track announcer John G. Dooley on Wednesday, July 20, plus chances for customers to win betting vouchers, food vouchers and Arlington Park merchandise both by using the many self-service betting terminals throughout the facility and by entering special drawings which be held several times each day.

In addition, a live-money handicapping contest where the winner will earn a berth in the 2012 Coast Casino's Horseplayer World Series and an expense-paid trip to Las Vegas to compete in the tournament is scheduled for Thursday, July 21 to coincide with that afternoon’s Arlington Park live racing program.

This is the second joint venture between Salerno-Pincente Ristorante and Arlington Park, the operators of all Illinois Trackside facilities. Since December 2007 they have been operating a similar venture in Hodgkins.

“We’ve enjoyed a successful partnership with the Arlington Park team at our Hodgkins location and we are looking forward to becoming part of the Villa Park community,” Salerno said.

“We feel that the quality of our product, service and atmosphere will be well received,” Pincente added. “We will work hard to be the entertainment and dining destination in the area.”

Located at 105 E. North Avenue in Villa Park, the wagering facility located within the 12,000+ sq. ft. restaurant features an amazing 140 state-of-the-art high definition viewing monitors including a 100" projector unit.

Wagering will be available at any of 20 manned or self-service terminals featuring the latest in tote technology. The Sports Bar area includes such extras as individual desk carrel seating, private Gold Club Rooms available for use by top level Twin Spires Club VIP players along with spacious outdoor patios and seating creating the ultimate off-track racing and wagering experience.

The food, beverages and service provided to Trackside Off-Track Betting customers by Salerno-Pincente Ristorante is simply the finest in the region – nothing can compete. Specializing in delicious and reasonably priced cuisine, house specialties and customer favorites all served in a relaxed and welcoming setting for family, friends and horse racing fans. Salerno-Pincente uses original Italian recipes for homemade pastas and crowd pleasing pizza – a Chicago tradition. More information about Salerno-Pincente Ristorante can be found on their website at www.salernopincente.net.
