CHICAGO BEARS DAY AT ARLINGTON PARK JUNE 12
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (June 6, 2011) – It’s horses – and Bears – Chicago Bears, that is! Arlington Park is hosting its first Chicago Bears Day on Sunday, June 12, featuring appearances by some of the players that have been a big part of some of the most memorable moments in Bears history.
Super Bowl champions Steve “Mongo” McMichael, Jay Hilgenberg, and long time Chicago Bear favorite James “Big Cat” Williams will appear, giving fans a chance to get an autograph or a picture with a Bears legend.
There will also be Bears coaches and Staley the Mascot in attendance, a special Bears race, and a winner’s circle ceremony when Arlington Park will present Bears officials with a special gift.
Kids will be able to head to the park area and get a chance to run through the giant inflatable Bears helmet that the players run through when they take the field at Soldier Field for home games. Fans can test their football skills getting a chance to toss a football, hit tackling dummies, and participate in many of the same drills that the pros do at training camp.
