ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (April 13, 2011) – All the excitement of watching the Chicago Blackhawks play at the United Center is coming to Mr. D.’s Sports Bar at Arlington Park Racecourse in Arlington Heights on Friday, April 15, as an “Official Blackhawks Roadwatch” site for Game 2 of the Western Conference quarterfinals when the defending Stanley Cup Champions face-off against the Vancouver Canucks.

With the puck drop slated for shortly after 9 pm Friday, Mr. D.’s Sports Bar will open at 7:00 for fans to catch earlier playoff action from around the NHL. There will be an authentic home game-like experience featuring in-game videos, Blackhawks give away items, goal celebrations, intermission contests and chances to win tickets to future Blackhawks games.

Blackhawks fans will see all pre-game and in-game videos run exactly like a Blackhawks home game at the United Center including the pre-game ritual montages played prior to the puck drop at the United Center, as well as Blackhawks TV segments during each intermission. Members of the Ice Crew will be on hand to mingle with fans and conduct raffles. All of Mr. D.’s television monitors will be tuned to the game and the audio will be pumped throughout the Sports Bar.

Food and beverage specials will be available including the same Madhouse Burger ($9) which is served during home games at the United Center, $4 Smirnoff Vodka Drinks, $5 Finlandia Vodka Drinks, $4 Bacardi Rum Drinks, $5 Captain Morgan Rum Drinks; $3 domestic bottled beer, $15 beer buckets (five bottles), $4 16 oz. domestic drafts, 35-cent chicken wings, eight jalepeno poppers for $4, loaded chili nachos $5 and more.

After Friday night’s Official Blackhawks Roadwatch, Mr. D.’s Sports bar will continue to be open Saturdays and Sundays from 11 am until 7 pm through Sunday, May 1, for fans to watch and wager on races from around the country.

Arlington Park – the Chicago area’s premier Thoroughbred racetrack located in Arlington Heights, Ill. – will run an 86-day meet in 2011 from Friday, May 6 through Sunday, Sept. 25.
