GIMMICK WAGERING CHANGES BEGIN FRIDAY

On one of the biggest shopping days of the year, Maywood Park hopes to put some extra spending money in its customer’s hands with several changes in the gimmick wagering format starting Friday, Nov. 26.

In an attempt to create the Superfecta carryovers that so many fans have requested, Maywood Park is returning to a one dollar Superfecta minimum wager instead of the current 10 cent Superfecta format which had been available previously.

“Carryovers are the best value in our industry and create the most hype,” said Maywood Park Mutuel Manager Vern Glaenzer. “After speaking to a lot of our regular customer base who told us that they would really like the chance to play into some larger carryover pools when it came to Superfecta wagering, the decision was made to go back to a one-dollar minimum on the Superfectas every Thursday and Friday night.”

Dime players will still have the chance to nail some big payouts as well with Maywood Park adding another High 5 on race four on Thursday nights and two more High 5 wagers on the Friday cards with races four and 14 now sporting the popular wager. The High 5 will still remain on race 10 both nights.

In other gimmick changes taking place starting Friday, Nov. 26 the one dollar Pick 3 will shift to races three, four and five on both nights while the 50 cent Pick 5 wager will now consist of races five, six, seven, eight and nine on both nights. There will be no longer be a one dollar Pick 4 on Thursday nights but the wager will be available on races 11, 12, 13 and 14 on Maywood’s Friday night programs.

A complete list of the new wagering format for both Thursdays and Fridays is included with this press release. Post time on both nights will remain at 7:10 pm (CST).
