FILLY MAYWOOD PACE ELIMINATION TONIGHT

Fox Valley Oracle
The John Butenschoen-trained Fox Valley Oracle will lead a field of eight three-year-old pacing fillies postward in tonight's $10,000 Filly Maywood Pace elimination.
Some of Illinois' top three-year-old pacing fillies will be on display this evening as a field of eight sophomores battle in the $10,000 Filly Maywood Pace elimination. The top six finishers will join Rev Me Up and Fox Valley Dazzle, who earned byes into the final on a money-earned basis, on Friday, June 18 for the $100,000 final.

In tonight’s elimination which goes as race seven on the 11-race program, Baron Racing Stable, Eugene Schick and Jean Goehlen’s Fox Valley Oracle has been installed as the 2-1 morning line favorite. The daughter of Sportsmaster-Our Golden Promise is off to another fast start in her second season, capturing the Violet Stake at Balmoral Park back on May 23 in a career best of 1:53.0. The John Butenschoen trainee is no stranger to the winner’s circle here at Maywood Park either, capturing the Violet Stake during a two-year-old season in which she posted four wins, five seconds and three thirds while earning over $196,000. Dean Magee will drive as Fox Valley Oracle leaves from post position four.

Tanah Merah Farms LLC and the Ervin Miller Stable will send out the 5-2 second choice in Rolldownthehiway from post position two. This daughter of Cole Muffler-Cambridge Lane is still looking for her first win as a three-year-old, but she was a close up third behind Fox Valley Oracle in the Violet at Balmoral. Last year the Erv Miller-trained miss was a multiple stakes winner and a model of consistency as she put together a record of eight wins, five seconds and five thirds while banking over $67,000 in 20 starts. Marcus Miller will get the call to handle the driving duties.

Another Erv Miller trainee, Cotton Candy, may lack experience but the daughter of Sportsmaster-Juxtaposition has a wealth of speed and ability as evidenced by her 1:53.1 clocking at the Meadowlands in just her second career start. She is also fresh off a 5 ½ length wire-to-wire victory at Balmoral and her high turn of speed figures to make her very dangerous from post position three.

Rounding out the field are She’s Aware, Things Left Unsaid, Reilly’s Daughter, Makena Cat and Ellamakailey.

Post time every Thursday and Friday at Maywood Park is 7:10 pm (central). For more information visit www.maywoodpark.com or call (708) 343-4800.
