Lose None sets turf sprint track record at Hawthorne

Wildcat Thoroughbred LLC’s Lose None, trained by Tammy Domenosky and ridden by Eusebio Razo Jr., set a new course record for the five and a half furlong distance on turf in Thursday’s seventh race at Hawthorne Race Course. He covered the distance in 1:01.70, following fractions of :20.97, :44.09, and :55.69, on a course rated firm. That time lowered the previous track record of 1:02.06, set by Alone At Last in 2007, by nearly two-fifths of a second.

Hawthorne Race Course is in its 101st year of racing under Carey family ownership. Hawthorne offers the only traditional dirt track for thoroughbred racing in Northern Illinois. Live racing at Hawthorne runs Wednesday – Saturday through December 31. Post time daily is 1:35 PM with late post on Fridays of 2:35 PM through November 19. Club Hawthorne membership is Free and available at Guest Services at Hawthorne Race Course. For more information, visit www.Hawthorneracecourse.com.
